Saturday April 17th, the NMA will be participating in a protest against Lakeland's red-light cameras. We need you to particpate in this important protest against red-light cameras. This is particularly important because it is going to occur in Senator Paula Dockery's hometown.
Senator Dockery is a candidate for governor who is challenging Bill McCollum in the primary. She was the sole vote against red-light cameras in the Senate Transportation Committee. In addition, Lakeland has been the center of a controversy concerning a couple of police cars that have failed to be ticketed by the cameras.
Send an e-mail to State Activist Henry Stowe at floridamotorist@gmail.com or call him at 407-375-8445 to find out how you can help the cause by participating on Saturday April 17, 2010.
The protest will be held at N. Florida Avenue @ Memorial Blvd. (US92 and US98) at the southeast corner in Lakeland at 12 Noon.
We need to continue the momentum that we have gained in the fight against red-light cameras in Florida. We are at a critical stage, and your help is needed at the protest to make politicians and the media sit up and take notice of the opposition to photo enforcement programs.
